Prof. Dr. Safar Iqbal, completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He then went on to pursue his Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology and Implantology from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India. Following that he did his fellowship in Oral Implantology from International Congress of Oral Implantologist, ICOI (USA).
He is also a member of Indian Society of Periodontists as well as ICOI (USA). He worked as specialist periodontist, implantologist and laser dentist at ECHS (Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) hospital as well as consultant to many hospitals and clinics in and around Kerala. Along with his accolades in academics and his flair to implantology in his private practice he is presently working as Professor in Malabar Dental College and Research Centre. He also has privilege by QCHP to practice lasers and Oral Implantology in State of Qatar.
Being erudite in his field, for the past 15 years he has picked up exceptional skills in performing and excelling in Non-Surgical & Surgical Periodontal Treatments, Gum Graft Surgery, Laser Treatments, Laser Depigmentation, Laser Gingival Decontamination, Laser Photobiomodulation, Platelet Rich Plasma/ Fibrin (PRF), Regenerative Procedures, Dental Crown Lengthening, Dental Implants, Pocket Reduction Procedures, Treating Gum Recessions, Preventing Periodontal Disease and Peri-Implant Diseases.
Now in pursuit for excellence, he has undergone Advanced Dental Training at Saveetha Dental College, in the latest field of Periodontal Micro Surgery, as well as being one of the chosen few in India to be selected by AIIMS for the first Periodontal and Peri Implant Plastic Surgery Symposium and Cadaveric Workshop. He has recently upgraded his clinic with the state of art Surgical Microscope.
